Closing the Loop in Medical Device Design

There's little wonder why the trend toward minimally invasive medical procedures is one of the strongest-and-most-positive in medicine today. Less invasive approaches not only have the potential to significantly improve overall medical outcomes, but also to reduce costs to the healthcare system.  Patients undergoing MIS (minimally invasive surgery) procedures generally report less post-surgical pain and recover more rapidly than those treated via traditional open surgeries, and surgeons often find MIS procedures faster and easier to perform and utilize less OR time.
