Cortland Company Welcomes New Vice President of its Medical Division
Cortland Company, a leading provider of international high performance rope, cable, slings and umbilicals has expanded its medical team with the announcement of new hire John G. Greco, Vice President of Medical.
Greco will be based in Cortland’s New York facility and will oversee the expansion of the corporation’s medical offerings internationally, leading the sales of Cortland’s synthetic fiber assemblies and sutures used in the medical market.
Commenting on Cortland Company’s new hire, Luis Padilla, Vice President of Sales and Engineering for the Americas, said: “We have over 30 years experience in the use of high performance synthetic fibers and our dedication to the medical market remains as strong now as ever. John’s expert knowledge and extensive experience in this highly specialized market make him the perfect individual to lead our medical division.”
Greco has over 20 years experience in the medical device industry and has served in leadership positions in sales, marketing and R&D. He began his career at Ethicon, Inc. and held management positions at Meadox Medicals and CR Bard. Most recently Greco was engaged in the development and licensing of biomaterials within the Cardiovascular/Cardiac markets as he served as Manager of Business Development for DSM Biomedical.
Greco holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science from Kean College and has gained recognition for his work with honors including; the Meadox Vice President’s Award for Technical Achievement and the Ethicon Vice President’s Award for contribution to the understanding and development of the Biomer Vascular Graft.
