Job Overview

We have an opportunity for a QHSE Coordinator to join our team in Stafford, TX.

The QHSE Coordinator position will have the responsibility for ensuring that the Quality and HSE management system on the manufacturing floor are robust and followed to ensure product compliance and employee safety. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to review and validate procedures based on quality and regulatory requirements. The QHSE Coordinator shall demonstrate strong attention to detail and have analytical and problem-solving abilities. This role shall also interpret and implement quality and HSE regulatory and industry standards to provide accurate and comprehensive feedback to colleagues.

Key Job Responsibilities

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Track and monitor HSE performance for all Cortland Industrial Locations. Use collected data to make improvements or suggestions towards the Quality and HSE Management System and other programs.
  • Perform internal audits and regulatory assessments as scheduled.
  • Actively assist Operations Leads to aid in developing Safety Leadership, Skills, and Knowledge.
  • Respond to local Injury Management cases when shop personnel require medical attention and/or evaluation.
  • Work closely with OSHA regulations to ensure the company maintains consistent compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Lead and/or participate in incident investigations and ensure root cause analysis corrective actions and gaps are closed (when identified) in the Quality and/or Safety Management Systems.
  • Conduct HSE presentations for the company and customers as needed.
  • Monitor critical elements / HSE performance for the company.
  • Analyze incident/injury causes and hazards (through trends and stats) to personnel, property, and develop recommended preventive measures.
  • Participate and/or lead QHSE meetings routinely.
  • Identify procedural and instruction gaps, develop and implement procedures as needed to meet regulatory and industry HSE standards.
  • Provide training to personnel as required.
  • Utilize a visible commitment to safety, use positive reinforcement, and make one-on-one contacts to discuss safety with management and line personnel.
  • Perform risk assessments for critical tasks.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

 Qualifications/Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience in implementing and maintaining QHSE systems.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with OSHA and any applicable regulatory safety standards.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office); strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • At least 1 year auditing experience with ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 is preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED.  Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Certification in HSE (COSS, CSP, ASP, CSHO, etc.) helpful, and Formal Safety Instructing / Training or Degree helpful; but may be substituted based on experience.
  • Employee may have to lift documents/materials up to 50 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including traveling by air/auto to other sites.

Job Overview

We have an opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Stafford, TX.

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources/ Payroll Generalist to perform HR related duties for the following areas: talent acquisition, payroll, performance management, onboarding and offboarding. The HR Generalist will be responsible for partnering with hiring leaders for workforce acquisition and efforts to retain operational staff. Responsible for processing assigned payroll(s) according to required schedules. Provide administrative support and team support.

Key Job Responsibilities

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Process weekly payroll utilizing Paylocity; payroll transactions including earnings, deductions, one-time payroll items, adjustments, and related tax correspondence if needed, bonuses or commissions.
  • Set up and train new supervisors with access to the time and attendance system to track and approve employee hours.
  • Organize and maintain a confidential filing system to ensure accurate payroll record retention.
  • Respond to Federal and State payroll notices & assist in the preparation of audit requests.
  • Responsible for delivering timely Recruiting Services (needs assessment, job posting, advertising, sourcing candidates, applicant screening, interviewing, candidate processing, reporting/metrics) that assures a high-quality candidate and probability of success.
  • Supports and guides managers on effective talent acquisition and retention.
  • Maintains company job descriptions.
  • Processes Employee Onboarding and Offboarding.
  • Creates announcements for new hires, promotions and company organizational changes.
  • Enter new employees in the Paylocity system and maintain current employee records.
  • Tracks employee’s annual performance evaluations and policies acknowledgements.
  • Supports HR processes and actively participates in efforts to streamline and improve HR activities and processes through technology.
  • Helps ensure sound HR business practices and compliance with Federal and State laws.
  • Support the Company events and other duties as required.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent related experience.
  • Five years of HR or business-related experience including two years of payroll experience(preferably using Paylocity)
  • Ability to maintain composure during periods of high stress with a highly developed sense of urgency.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Ability to sit most of the day and handle multiple things at once.
  • Visual acuity to process work tasks.
  • Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or up to 5 pounds constantly to move objects.
